GARDINER – Rebecca Taylor knocked down a shot at the buzzer to lift the No. 9 Old Town Coyotes past the No. 8 Gardiner Tigers 52-51 in an Eastern Maine Class B girls basketball prelim Tuesday night.
Old Town advanced to a 3:35 p.m. quarterfinal on Saturday against the No. 1 Waterville Panthers at the Bangor Auditorium.
Jenna King led the Coyotes with 20 points, including six 3-pointers, while Cally Randall chipped in with nine points.
