BOYS

Big School (Classes A-B)

P.J. Richards

Richards, a senior on the Hermon wrestling team, scored his 150th career victory on Saturday while winning the 215-pound weight class at the Eastern Maine Class B championship meet. Richards reached the milestone in his final match, when he pinned Belfast’s Matt Smith in 1 minute, 34 seconds of the first round.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Chris Fogler

A member of the John Bapst of Bangor indoor track and field team, Fogler won two events at the Eastern Maine Indoor Track League championship meet. Folgler claimed the title in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.11 seconds, then came back less than 15 minutes later to win the 55-meter dash in 6.94 seconds.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

JENNA KING

A senior guard for the Old Town girls basketball team, King hit six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 20 points as the No. 9 Coyotes knocked off No. 8 Gardiner in an Eastern Maine Class A preliminary game Tuesday night. She also made six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points in a 50-36 victory over Orono on Feb. 7. King had 12 points in a 45-44 loss Feb. 9 to Presque Isle.

Small School (Classes C-D)

MINDY CHASSE

Chasse, a senior center on the Ashland basketball team, posted three double-doubles in three games, including 13 points and 11 rebounds in the No. 4 Hornets’ 54-50 Eastern Maine Class D preliminary round win Tuesday over No. 13 Hodgdon. She had 27 points and 12 rebounds in a 66-48 win over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brooke on Feb. 6, followed by a 22-point, 13-rebound effort in a 45-39 victory over Limestone-MSSM on Feb. 8.
