BENEDICTA – The sixth annual Benedicta Fun Cross-Country Ski Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Benedicta Elementary School’s Winter Adventure Terrain Park. The event is designed to promote physical activity, healthful eating and proper hydration.

Participants can expect ski games, loppet skiing contests, snowshoeing, Nordic cowbell applause, outdoor music and door prizes. The “Skiing Gourmet,” chef Herm Ammerman, will serve a selection of nutritionally balanced, seasonal foods.

Maine Winter Sports Center will provide skis and ski clinic instructions.
