BANGOR – Casey Hull scored one goal and assisted on two and Derek Duff made 24 saves to lead the John Bapst Crusaders past Houlton-Hodgdon 3-1 in hockey action at Sawyer Arena.
Houlton-Hodgdon outshot John Bapst 25-16.
Hull assisted on Chris Dunbar’s goal in the third period that snapped a 1-1 tie after Hull had scored in the first period from a Nick Mitchell assist. Andrew Casey added a third-period goal for the 14-4-1 winners off Hull’s second assist.
Logan Holmes scored off a Morgan Hall assist for the 11-8 Black Hawks and Malik Abouleish made 13 saves.
Hampden 3, Old Town 1
At Brewer, Wesley Woods, Nick Pease and Nate Rocker each netted a goal as Hampden Academy defeated Old Town.
Mitch Dumais, Mike Mourkas and Nate Baker each grabbed an assist for Hampden Academy. Matt Albert made 27 saves on 28 shots for the 6-13 Broncos.
Jason Smith scored for Old Town with an assist from Dan LeBretton. LeBretton stopped 37 of 40 shots for the 4-13-1 Coyotes.
Brewer 5, Messalonskee 3
At Brewer, Ryan Nadeau scored three goals to spark Brewer by Messalonskee.
Nick Risser and Dylan Fitzpatrick each added a goal for Brewer. Fitzpatrick posted two assists while Prentiss Swett and Risser each grabbed an assist. Eric White made 18 saves on 21 shots for the 15-4 Witches.
Mike LaBrie, Matt DelGuidice and Brett Glasheen each scored for Messalonskee. Zach Parent stopped 15 of 20 shots for the 11-9 Eagles.
