Stacey Kent

University of Southern Maine junior forward Stacey Kent was named the Little East Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time. Kent averaged 16.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in a 2-0 week.

Genevieve Turgeon

University of Maine junior goaltender Genevieve Turgeon was honored as the Hockey East’s Pure Hockey Women’s Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time. Turgeon blocked 80 of 83 shots in two games against Boston College.

Adam Choice

Colby College sophomore forward Adam Choice was named the NESCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Choice averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and was 12-for-14 from the free throw line in a 2-0 week.

Chris Rossi

Bowdoin College sophomore goaltender Chris Rossi was honored as the NESCAC Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week. Rossi stopped 39 of 40 shots in two wins, including Bowdoin’s first shutout of the season.

Hattie Landry

University of Southern Maine senior Hattie Landry was named Women’s Track Athlete of the Week by the Little East Conference. Landry earned 29 points with finishes of second, third, fourth and a win in the 55-meter hurdles with a school and meet record 8.54 seconds.

Emily Poliquin

University of Southern Maine junior Emily Poliquin was honored as the Little East Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Poliquin won the triple jump with 35-51/4 feet and was second in the long jump with a distance of 16-23/4 feet.

Curtis Wheeler

University of Southern Maine senior Curtis Wheeler was named the Track Athlete of the Week by the Little East Conference for the second team. Wheeler won the 1,000-meter (2:32.41) and 3,000-meter races (8:50.06).
