BANGOR – The American Red Cross has collected less blood than expected for February and urges all eligible donors to give blood at this time.
During the winter months in New England, blood supplies often drop significantly because of bad weather, hazardous driving conditions and illness. Yet the need for blood remains constant.
Eligible blood donors may give blood from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Bangor donor center at 900B Hammond St.
For information, call the Bangor donor center at 941-2900.
