AUGUSTA – Marge Russell’s 17 points paced top-ranked Madison to a 51-36 Western Maine Class C quarterfinal basketball victory over No. 9 Georges Valley of Thomaston at the Augusta Civic Center Tuesday.

Lacey Ashbrooke added 13 points for the Bulldogs.

Ashley Geel led the Georges Valley Buccaneers with 16.
