JUSTIN GILMARTIN
A senior on the Mount Desert Island swimming team, was named swimmer of the meet in leading the Trojans to their fifth consecutive Class B state championship. He set meet records while winning the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly and also led off a victorious 200 medley relay team.

JEROD RIDEOUT
A senior on the Foxcroft Academy wrestling team, Rideout became just the 11th four-time state champion in state history Saturday by defeating Dirigo of Dixfield’s Josh Palmer 7-3 in the 160-pound final at the Class C state meet held at his home gym in Dover-Foxcroft.

ERIN THOMAS
Thomas, a senior on the Bangor swimming and diving team, won the 200-yard freestyle and placed second in the 500 free to help the Rams hold off Scarborough for their third straight Class A state championship Tuesday. She also swam on Bangor’s second-place medley relay and 400 free relay teams.
Small School (Classes C-D)
SARAH LONG
A 5-10 senior center for the No. 3 Central Aroostook basketball team, Long scored 29 points to go with 12 rebounds and six steals in a 63-45 Eastern Maine Class D quarterfinal win over No. 6 Bangor Christian Monday.
