AUGUSTA – Top-seeded Madison outscored No. 2 Monmouth 11-4 in the third quarter Saturday on its way to a 37-34 victory in the Western Maine Class C girls basketball championship game at the Augusta Civic Center.
Danielle Hebert and Margo Russell each scored 12 points to pace Madison.
Jennifer Lola and Katie Woodman had 11 points apiece for Monmouth.
