Andrew Sweetland of the University of Maine men’s hockey team was honored as the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week. Sweetland scored two goals and added two assists in Maine’s sweep of UMass last weekend.

Andrew Hippert

Bowdoin College senior Andrew Hippert was selected as the NESCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Hippert scored a season-high 28 points as he helped the Polar Bears record their first win in tournament history during the quarterfinals of the NESCAC Championship on Saturday.

Katie Bergeron

Katie Bergeron of Bowdoin College has been named the NESCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Bergeron scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Polar Bears to victory over Bates in the quarterfinals of the NESCAC Championship.

Cody McKinney

Cody McKinney of Colby College was chosen as the NESCAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week. McKinney allowed just one goal in two games and earned a 4-0 shutout of sixth-ranked Norwich University.

Vincent Lebrun-Fortin

Vincent Lebrun-Fortin of Colby College earned Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Associtation All-East first team honors and was named EISA Male Rookie of the Year. Lebrun-Fortin won the slalom at the Williams Ski Carnival, had seconds in the slalom at the Eastern Championships and Vermont, and earned thirds at St. Lawrence and Dartmouth in the slalom.

Adam Haggerty

Adam Haggerty of the University of Southern Maine men’s indoor track and field team has been honored as the Little East Conference Field Athlete of the Week. Competing in the pole vault, Haggerty was the top individual finisher for Southern Maine at the New England Division III Track and Field Championships.
