Three women and two men were arrested Wednesday night when Bangor police responded to a report of a fight in progress at a party on Center Street and found that most of the people gathered were wanted for outstanding warrants.
“Pretty much everyone there was arrested,” Sgt. Bob Bishop said Friday.
Officers Rob Angelo, Taylor Bagley and Wade Betters arrived at the fight scene at 6:30 p.m. and found Ronald Carpenter, 37, of Bangor bleeding from a broken nose. Josh Panther, 20, was arrested for assault and violating his conditions of release.
Also arrested were Bangor residents Elizabeth Clark, 41, Tiffany Jenkins, 25, and Melissa Hathaway, who also goes by the surname Bomar. All three women had outstanding warrants for their arrests and were taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. Information about the warrants wasn’t immediately available Friday.
Carpenter was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor for treatment of his injury and then he was taken to the jail for his outstanding warrant. Only Panther remained in jail on Friday. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
A fight that broke out on the dance floor of Barnaby’s at the Ramada Inn in Bangor at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday ended with the arrest of a Levant man.
Scott Reed, 37, reportedly was fighting with someone on the dance floor, and when approached by a Bangor police officer, he became more combative and refused to leave. Police were forced to restrain him and handcuff him on the dance floor, Sgt. Bob Bishop said Friday.
Reed was arrested for disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest. He was given a warning for trespassing, which prevents his return to the bar, before he was taken to Penobscot County Jail. He was released on bail later Thursday. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
