Ripley

Residents will vote on 33 articles at 10 a.m. today during the annual town meeting at the Grange hall.

The town’s spending plan that includes county expenses and an estimate for school costs amounts to about $511,000, according to Vernal Sinclair, town clerk. He said the mill rate could increase from $11.50 to $14 per $1,000 valuation, depending on actual school costs.

Residents will elect two selectmen, one to fill a staggered term and another to fill a position held by Tom Dyson, who resigned. Other elections will include the town clerk, tax collector and treasurer.
