CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Aly Ludwig and Jillian Kimball each had four hits Monday to lead Saint Joseph’s College of Standish past Rockford (Ill.) College 6-4 in the second game of a college softball doubleheader.
Clark University defeated Saint Joseph’s 13-5 in the first game.
In the first game, Heather Warren led Clark with two hits and five RBIs.
Megan Farrell had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Monks. Liddy VanderLinden and Alyssa Dunn added two hits each for Saint Joseph’s.
In the second game, Kiera Walsh pitched seven innings for the Monks allowing four runs on 12 hits and striking out six to earn the win.
Whitni Genz and Aria Ruotsi each had four hits to pace Rockford.

At Port Charlotte, Fla., Clark scored three times in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally past Saint Joseph’s of Standish.
Matt Tillo homered and singled to knock in three runs to spark Clark while Joe Silva had three singles.
Joe Douglass drove in a run with a triple for the Monks while Dustin Spiller a double, single and RBI. Brian Schools added an RBI single.
