Miller, Crews, McGuire power Eagles to victory

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – Husson College notched its first win of the season with a 7-6 victory over John Jay College on Tuesday after suffering a 18-3 loss to Augustana College on Sunday and a 5-2 loss to Beloit College on Monday.

In Tuesday’s game, the Eagles scored a run in the ninth inning to break a 6-6 tie for the win. Husson’s Jeff Miller had three hits and an RBI. Tom Crews and Chris Maguire each had a pair of hits.

In Sunday’s game, Augustana scored 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning to put the game away.

Crews and Ryan Arsenault led Husson with two hits apiece. Arsenault posted two RBIs while Ethan Guerette drove in a run for the Eagles.

In Monday’s game, Jon Moran tallied two hits and two RBIs to lead Beloit College.

Dennis Graham posted a hit and drove in a run while Nick Arthers had an RBI for Husson.
