FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fifth-seeded Husson College shot 54 percent from the field Wednesday night en route to an 80-71 victory over No. 4 Fitchburg State in the quarterfinals of the ECAC New England Division III Men’s Basketball Championship.

Brock Bradford poured in 25 points and made four steals to pace the Eagles of Bangor, who advance to host No. 8 University of New England of Biddeford, a 104-99 upset winner over top-seeded Emmanuel, in a Saturday semifinal game.

Matt MacKenzie provided 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, while Sheraud Lee netted 12 points and Nick Perras 11 to go with three assists.

Husson also went 22-for-29 from the foul line and outrebounded the hosts 36-28.

Peter Uzoma and Brian Torres tossed in 17 pionts each for Fitchburg State.
