BOOTHBAY – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a collision that claimed three lives in Boothbay.

Investigators say Phillip Peters was driving a pickup truck that crossed into the path of an oncoming sport utility vehicle, causing a head-on collision Wednesday night on Route 27.

Deputies say the occupants of the SUV, Linda Farnham, 63, and David Farnham, 65, died at the scene. Peters, 33, was pronounced dead at Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor.

All three were from Boothbay. The crash remains under investigation.
