A five-hour town meeting resulted in nearly all warrant articles passing on Saturday.
Residents either passed or amended all but two of the more than 30 articles voted on by residents. Voters rejected an article to place a one- or two-bag limit per household for curbside trash pickup. Additional bags would have required a sticker purchased at the town office for $1 or $2.
Residents also refused to accept as a public road Pine Grove Lane, a paved road in the Etna Woods subdivision off Route 143.
Residents voted to begin charging 11 percent interest on late taxes 45 days after commitment, rather than the recommended 30 days. An amendment to one article indicated that residents would not pay for replacing a rescue vehicle if federal matching funds were not received.
On Friday, residents voted for two selectmen and one SAD 38 school board director. Lisa Krahn, with 50 votes, and Fredrick Treadwell, 37 votes, won the two selectman posts. Resident Scott Leeman received 28 votes and write-in selectman candidate Victoria Donaldson also got 28 votes. Kim Wing ran unopposed for the SAD 38 director position, receiving 69 votes.
