DOVER-FOXCROFT – Mayo Regional Hospital’s Laboratory will provide weekly service to the public at Milo Family Practice starting March 20.
A Mayo laboratory staff member will be at Milo 7-11 a.m. each Thursday to draw blood samples from patients in the Milo-Brownville area who have a valid doctor’s order. The service is available to any patient including those not associated with the practice.
It is suggested that only patients who need fasting blood tests come to the new lab service before 8:30 a.m.
The new service is being offered as a pilot project to gauge demand in the Milo area. Satellite lab services also are offered weekly in Dexter. The expansion to Milo is designed to increase access and reduce travel for patients.
