LISBON – A fire burned a house in town while the family was out to attend a relative’s funeral.

Mike Siragusa and his family were on their way to Siragusa’s father’s funeral when their house burned Friday morning. It took firefighters about a half-hour to bring the fire under control. The house is a total loss.

Siragusa told WCSH-TV that he and his fiancee, Holly, are expecting a baby next month. The couple had been working to prepare the baby’s room.

Siragusa’s mother owns the house, where the family has lived for 26 years.
