ROXBURY – A Roxbury firefighter has been charged with arson in connection with a fire at a vacant building in December.
Joseph Gallant, 26, is scheduled to make his first court appearance in May. He was arrested Thursday.
State fire investigator Christopher Stanford said Gallant is charged with setting fire in the early morning hours to a building down the street from his home in Roxbury, a small town in western Maine.
Gallant resigned from the Fire Department during the investigation.
