ORONO – The University of Maine women’s hockey team will play a benefit broomball game against 3rd Watch, a group of emergency room personnel, at 7:30 p.m. March 24 at Alfond Arena.

All proceeds will benefit Camden Brown, a youngster who has had major health issues and has spent several months in Bangor and Boston hospitals. His father, Andy, is a dispatcher for the UMaine public safety department, and his mother, Tonya, is an emergency room nurse in Bangor.

Tickets will be available at the door or can be obtained on the 3rd Watch Web site (www.thirdwatchhockey.com/brown.html), from the Bangor Police Department, 3rd Watch team members and the Northeast EMS office on Sylvan Road in Bangor. Tickets are $5, children under 12 get in free. Commemorative T-shirts will be sold at the game by 3rd Watch members. All proceeds will go to the Brown family.

The women’s hockey team will sign autographs after the game.
