WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, will host a panel discussion on federal contracting on Wednesday, March 19, in Augusta.

The seminar, to be held from 10 a.m. to noon in the Augusta Room at the Augusta Civic Center, will highlight ways to use the U.S. Small Business Administration’s programs relating to federal contracting.

In addition, the Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center will provide an overview of its programs and services. Contracting officers and representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Maine National Guard, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and the General Services Administration will be on hand to provide insight on how to pursue contracts with their agencies.
