SANFORD, Fla. – Grove City College of Pennsylvania handed the Bates College baseball team two losses in the final day of the Central Florida Invitational Monday.

The Wolverines won 8-2 in the first game and 5-4 in the nightcap.

In the first game, Grove City (3-1) scored six runs in the second inning.

Seniors Alex Egelson and Brian Buckley led Bates (1-4) with two hits apiece.

In the second game, the Wolverines scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the 5-4 lead and earn the come back win.

Junior Dave Farrell had two singles and knocked in a run for Bates and Gordon Webb of Hampden had a hit and an RBI.
