MACHIAS – The Washington County Council to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect will kick off its 2008 campaign at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Down East Community Hospital.

There will be a presentation by the Maine State Police, planting of a pinwheel garden by area children and announcements of the schedule of events for the month. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
