U.S. Army Capt. Tim Wright, 30, a 1996 graduate of Bangor High School, is pictured on the cover of the March 24 edition of Newsweek magazine. Wright is the son of George and Mary Wright of West Broadway in Bangor. The officer’s parents could not immediately be reached for comment, but a staff member at Neurology Associates of Eastern Maine, where Dr. Wright practices, said Wednesday that co-workers had purchased multiple copies of the magazine. Newsweek hit news stands on Monday and features articles about the five-year anniversary of the war in Iraq. In one of the articles, Wright shares his Iraq experiences, highlights his interactions with locals and weighs in on the status report issued in September by Gen. David Petraeus, commanding general of the multinational force in Iraq.
