Beware computers

The Webster’s New World Dictionary defines the word “technology” as “the science of the practical or industrial arts; applied science.”

In the March 14 BDN I noticed two articles that made me chuckle. One was “Enemy in the iPod: How tech toys can hack you.” The other was about Harvard College and mob hackers. If all this technology is so great, why have so many people been put out of employment? If computers are made for crime, then why do we have such faith in them?

This letter was written on a typewriter.
