MILBRIDGE – Washington Hancock Community Agency, a nonprofit organization, is seeking candidates for its board of directors for District III of Washington County and District III of Hancock County.

District III of Washington County includes Addison, Beals, Cherryfield, Columbia, Columbia Falls, Harrington, Jonesboro, Jonesport, Machias, Milbridge, Roque Bluffs and Steuben. District III of Hancock County includes Bar Harbor, Cranberry Isles, Franklin, Frenchboro, Hancock, Lamoine, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor, Swans Island, Tremont and Trenton.

Anyone interested in issues facing low-income residents of the two counties is urged to become a candidate. WHCA’s board of directors consists of equal representation from the public, private and elected sectors of our community, and decides the path the agency must follow to meet its mission.
