Adult education classes in SAD 48

NEWPORT – SAD 48 is offering the following adult education classes:

Computer Classes: Microsoft Word – Expand your knowledge of word processing using Microsoft Word, taught by Keith Kelley at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 1; $39.

Book Club: Corinna – Meet 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17. To find out more about the book selection of the month, contact the Levi Stewart Library at 278-2454.

Quality of Life Classes: Aerobics – Get fit for spring, second session started, March 12 but still has openings. Class meets twice a week – 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; $35.

Independent Travel Agent – Learn the basics of being an independent travel agent. Workshops begin May 7.

GED Preparation – Pretesting and classes prepare you for taking the final GED tests 5-8 p.m. every Wednesday night; free. To find out more, call our office at 368-3290.

Career Counseling – Whether you are looking for a new career or want to go back to college but need some help, calll to make an appointment with our Career Counselor, Holli Spurlock 368-3290, on Wednesday or Thursday evening.

Online Classes – Visit www.ed2go.com/msad48.org and search the hundreds of courses offered in 6-week increments. A full description of the course with a detailed syllabus is available.
