Two teenage males allegedly kicked in the back door of Seamus’ convenience store, on the corner of Blue Hill East and Finson Road in Bangor, sometime late Saturday or early Sunday and took several items.

While no one was at the scene when police arrived, a backpack was found. Also, while investigators were at the store just after 1 a.m. Sunday, a 16-year-old male from Levant arrived to “see what was up,” Detective Sgt. Paul Kenison said Tuesday.

“His shoeprints matched tracks at the scene,” the detective said, and he was arrested for burglary.

The juvenile probably will face criminal mischief and theft charges as well, Kenison said, adding that officers remain on the lookout for a second teenage suspect involved in the burglary.

The juvenile was in 3rd District Court in Bangor on Tuesday for his first appearance, and afterward was sent to Mountain View Youth Development Center in Charleston to await his arraignment, a Penobscot County Jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
