HAMPDEN – “North Woods Nonsense” by Andrew Ross will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at the Reeds Brook Middle School cafeteria.

The setting of the play, being performed for the first time, is Lost Loon Lodge on Moose Bottom Lake, somewhere in the woods of northern Maine.

The action focuses on the run-down hotel lobby where handyman Pete has written a completely fictional newspaper article about Bigfoot kidnapping a local resident.

But the rumored sighting provides the perfect excuse for Ms. Birch and Mr. Pine, assistants to the worst congressman in history, to suggest a trip.

With reporters hot on the congressman’s trail and ridiculous guests pursuing Bigfoot, chaos ensues when the visitors arrive and Pete decides they really should get a chance to see Bigfoot.
