ORONO – The Skating Club of Maine-Penobscot Region invites the public to its annual ice show at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Alfond Arena, University of Maine. This year’s show theme is “Skate Around the World.” Skaters will perform to music from a variety of countries around the globe.

Since October, skaters have been honing everything from basic skills through advanced figure skating at Bangor’s Sawyer Arena.

“Skate Around the World” will showcase skaters of all levels and ages with some special surprises for the audience. Last year’s show attracted 800 spectators, and this year more are expected to attend the skating extravaganza.
