SOUTH PORTLAND – Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine, the state’s largest private health insurer, has a new president.
Daniel Corcoran replaces Erin Hoeflinger, who earlier this year was named president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio.
Corcoran joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New Hampshire in 2002. Most recently, he was responsible for financial planning and analysis for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Whittemore School of Business and Economics and holds a masters of business administration and a masters of science, management information systems, from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management.
“Dan has a proven record of business and community leadership and accomplishment and is a great fit for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine,” Hoeflinger said in a statement.
