COLLEGE

Noah Gauthier

Bates College senior Noah Gauthier was named the NESCAC Men’s Field Performer of the Week. Gauthier won the hammer throw with a toss of 58.3 meters at the Bates/Colby/MIT tri-meet. He was also second in the shot put and fifth in the discus.

Vantiel Elizabeth Duncan

Bates College sophomore Ventiel Elizabeth Duncan was honored as the NESCAC Women’s Field Performer of the Week. Duncan placed first in the hammer throw (49.11m) and shot put (13.51m) at the Bates/Colby/MIT meet. She was also second in the discus (33.05m)

Becky Julian

Colby College junior attacker Becky Julian was named the NESCAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. Julian had seven goals and four assists in a 2-0 week.

Vanessa Baird

University of Southern Maine freshman Vanessa Baird of Dover was named the Rookie Field Athlete of the Week by the Little East Conference. Baird finished second in the discus with a throw of 30.46 meters at the George Davis Invitational.

Josh Warren

University of Southern Maine sophomore Josh Warren of Hermon was named the Little East Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. Warren won all three of his matches including a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Western Connecticut’s in number one singles.

Katie Quartuccio

Senior goalie Katie Quartuccio of the University of Southern Maine was named the Little East Conference Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Quartuccio recorded 39 saves in a 2-1 week for the Huskies.
