GUILFORD – The public is invited to attend an energy audit to be conducted from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Guilford Memorial Library. The energy audit originally had been planned for March but was canceled because of inclement weather.

Library officials want to identify areas of the library that may need work to save on energy used for heating and to give homeowners ideas about how they can save on heating bills and whether an energy audit is a good idea for them.

Gerry Smith, owner of Home Energy Evaluation in Fairfield, will demonstrate the use of his infrared camera to seek out heat loss and a blower door that decompresses a building to make it easy to find leaks. He will give a slide presentation on consequences of improper insulating.

Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend. For information, call 876-4547.
