Outlook: After losing three of four to Albany, the Bears need league wins. The teams play two seven-inning games Friday, then nine-inning games Saturday and Sunday. UMaine contends with a UMBC lineup that is batting .305, averaging 6.2 runs per game. The Bears are without sophomore starter Joe Miller, who is ill and did not make the trip. UMaine leads AE in ERA (4.73), opponents’ batting average (.267) and strikeouts per game (8.6). UMBC’s Delawter is among the league’s best hitters.
