Jerry and Terry are twin brothers who are waiting for their forever family. They are polite, athletic and can be very affectionate with each other and with adults. They get along great together and are very close.
Jerry and Terry list many different sports as some of their favorite things to do. They both play soccer and basketball. Their foster mother says both are very athletic and very talented. In school, they are taking French and say that is their favorite class. They also enjoy music and art during the school day. Jerry and Terry are good with their peers and get along well with other kids.
Like many boys their age, Jerry and Terry like to play video games and watch TV sometimes. But they are far more likely to be found outside, year round, playing sports, riding bikes or playing in the snow. They also are learning to cook at home.
Jerry and Terry say they want a family with patience and an understanding of learning disabilities. They both love school but likely will need special services throughout their education. Jerry and Terry are learning independent living skills in addition to their academics. An adoption subsidy may be available to the most appropriate family.
Jerry and Terry are two of 147 children in Maine Department of Health and Human Services care who are seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with Maine DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care.
