PITTSFIELD – More than 140 workers at San Antonio Shoe recently were treated to a pizza party to honor their donations to Pine Tree Camp.

The employees have raised more than $74,000 over the past 18 years. SAS is scheduled to close by August and the thank-you luncheon was organized by the Pittsfield Driftbusters’ Snowmobile Club to acknowledge the workers’ gifts.

Harvey Chesley from Pine Tree Camp joined Jim Dunphy, Pam Dunphy and Melissa Rumminger from the Pittsfield club in serving pizza, chips and soda to workers at the SAS facility. Mike Noyes, former Pine Tree Camp representative, and former SAS employee Linwood “Red” Dunphy, who started the fundraising effort at SAS, were also on hand.

During the party, Linwood “Red” Dunphy was presented an award by Chesley for his hard work on behalf of Pine Tree Camp over the years.
