GREENVILLE, S.C. – Andy Santerre Motorsports, owned by Cherryfield native Andy Santerre, finished one-two in the opening race of the NASCAR Camping World Series East Saturday night.
In his first race with his new team, Peyton Sellers, 24, won the pole and led the final 28 laps to capture the victory in An American Revolution 150 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
Sellers took the lead from his ASM teammate, 17-year-old rookie Austin Dillon, on lap 128 and led to the finish.
Dillon, Richard Childress’ grandson and RCR development driver, led 75 laps and finished second.
The Santerre Motorsports team combined to lead 133 of 156 laps.
Joe Gibbs Racing Development driver Marc Davis finished third, Ben Stancill was fourth and Eddie MacDonald rounded out the top five.
Lyman’s Alan Tardiff finished 22nd, two laps down.
Pro All Stars Series
SCARBOROUGH – Mike Rowe of Turner held off son Ben Rowe of Turner to win the PASS 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Saturday.
The elder Rowe won by 0.010 of a second.
Travis Benjamin of Morrill was third, Adam Bates of Warner, N.H. finished fourth and Standish’s Bub Bilodeau was fifth. Cassius Clark of Farmington was sixth, Dresden’s Scott Chubbuck finished seventh, Kirk Thibeau of Fort Fairfield was eighth, Derek Ramstrom of West Boylston, Mass. finished ninth and Richie Dearborn of Hollis rounded out the top ten.
Farmingdale’s Johnny Clark was 13th and 1995 NASCAR Camping World Series East champion Kelly Moore of Scarborough was 15th.
Stetson’s Gary Bellefleur finished 25th and Gary Smith of Bangor was 30th.
