Ellen W. Curtis and Jim Bartlett have been named to the board of directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine.

The 13 volunteers on the board of directors are responsible for providing financial and procedural guidance to the chapter, which grants wishes to children throughout the state living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their experience with hope, strength and joy.

Ellen Curtis was born in Houlton and received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Husson College in 1983. She has worked for the Finance Authority of Maine and Camden National Bank where she is a vice president and commercial banking officer in the Farmington branch.

Jim Bartlett of York is a lawyer concentrating in family and zoning land use law. He has served as a selectman in York and on many nonprofit boards including the Old York Historical Society and the Brain Injury Association of Maine.
