Christopher H. Lyford has been named senior vice president, chief investment officer, for Acadia Trust N.A. Based in Portland, Lyford leads Acadia Trust’s investment committee and participates as a member of its executive committee. In addition to leading the firm’s overall investment process, he manages portfolios and works with the investment team to enhance oversight and management of client relationships. Lyford has worked in investment management since 1994. Before joining Acadia Trust in 2004 as a vice president and portfolio manager, he was assistant director in the investment division at The Duke Endowment, a private foundation in Charlotte, N.C. Lyford has a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College in economics and a master of business administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. A native of Waterville, he lives with his family in Scarborough. A wholly owned subsidiary of Camden National Corp., Acadia Trust has offices in Bangor, Ellsworth and Portland.
