UM, Egyptian students organize teleconference

ORONO – The public is invited to attend a teleconference at the University of Maine next week titled “The Future of American Foreign Policy in the Middle East.”

Using Internet videoconference technology, students from the University of Maine and the American University in Cairo, Egypt, will engage in a dialogue about some of the most important issues facing the United States during the next presidential administration and beyond.

The discussion is part of a long-running “Dialogue Project” at the University of Maine designed to promote intercultural communication and understanding. The free event is sponsored by the Bangor Foreign Policy Forum and the UMaine School of Policy and International Affairs.

The teleconference will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in Room 101 of Neville Hall at the University of Maine. Neville Hall is located at the corner of Flagstaff Road and Long Road, across from the Cutler Health Center on the university campus.
