OFFENBURG, Germany – Exeter native Adam Craig continued his strong early season push for a berth on the U.S. Olympic Mountain Biking Team with a top-10 finish Sunday at the International Cycling Union World Cup’s second stop of the season.
Craig was the top American in the field of 238 starters, finishing eighth overall, 2 minutes, 22 seconds behind race winner Julien Absalon of France.
Christoph Sauser and Florian Vogel, both of Switzerland, finished second and third in the race.
Todd Wells was the second-best American in the race (23rd).
Through two races, Craig ranks eighth overall in World Cup points with 186, while Wells is 17th with 150 points and Horgan-Kobelski is 74th with eight points.
