On June 10, local Democrats will have the opportunity to vote for Gary Friedmann to represent us as our candidate for state representative in District 35 in the November election.
My family recently had a discussion about which candidate would best meet the needs of our community. Because of his longtime ties to Mount Desert Island I’ve decided that Gary Friedmann will be getting my vote. He has the kind of knowledge about and commitment to our community that I expect from a local representative.
I’ve been acquainted with Gary since 1989 when he helped me with a problem at my home. We had a terrible red ant infestation. I called the Hancock County Extension office hoping to get some information about an environmentally friendly way to deal with the ants. They said, “Call Gary Friedmann, he’s done a lot of research on the issue and he’ll help you out.” And indeed, he did. That’s just one small example of how Gary knows and cares about our community.
I am excited to have the opportunity to vote for Gary and I look forward to casting my vote for him in the June primary.
