BREWER – The School Committee held a special board meeting on Monday to discuss readmitting six students, and after doing so decided to allow them to return, Superintendent Daniel Lee said Tuesday.

To protect student privacy, the six students and the schools they attend were not named.

“I can’t say what the circumstances were related to this whole incident, but I can say the board readmitted the students,” Lee said. “All were readmitted.”

Each student was discussed in executive session, he said, adding only that “there will be different dates that they will be readmitted.”
