FARMINGTON – Lauren Overlock singled twice, doubled, knocked in a run and scored two more as UMaine-Farmington ousted Elms from the NAC tournament with a 5-2 victory Wednesday.
The fourth-ranked Beavers will meet top-seeded Husson College Friday in a second-round matchup in Bangor.
Megan Goodrow had a pair of sacrifice flies for the Beavers and Kasey McPhail doubled and singled to knock in a run.
Christina Giampetruzzi hit a solo home run to lead Elms.

At Waterville, the third-seeded Terriers scored six runs in the first three innings en route to the North Atlantic Conference quarterfinal victory over the No. 6 Spartans.
Brittany Oxley knocked in two runs with a double and a single, while Brittany Morin singled twice with two RBIs. Winning pitcher Nicole Smith added a single and two RBIs.
Loser Tosha Whittemore paced Castleton State with a single and two RBIs.

At Standish, Anthony D’Alphonso’s three-run home run in the third inning proved to be the difference as his University of Southern Maine Huskies edged the Saint Joseph’s Monks.
D’Alphonso also singled in the game.
Brian Schools and Ben Grant-Roy each had three singles for the Monks.

At Lewiston, the visiting Mules of Waterville erupted for eight runs in the top of the third en route to the win over Bates.
Richard Newton sparked that rally with a two-run double, while Colin Riggs compiled four hits and drove in four runs. John LaMantia notched three hits and plated three runs.
Jake Simon knocked a solo home run for Bates. Casey McCormack and Tom Beaton each notched RBI singles while Erik Hood hit a solo homer.
