Warriors’ Robinson fires no-hitter

DYER BROOK – Tyler Robinson pitched a five-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts as Southern Aroostook cruised to a 13-0 high school baseball victory over Hodgdon Wednesday.

Dakota Sleeper led Southern Aroostook with three singles and two RBIs. Cody Robinson and Andy Sholler each added two singles and an RBI for the Warriors.

At Limestone, Chris Parent pitched a three-hitter, striking out five and walking three, to lead the Eagles to victory.

Tom Albert knocked in three runs for Limestone/Maine School of Science and Mathematics with a two-run single and sacrifice fly. Mike Allen doubled and singled to knock in a run.

Losing pitcher Alex Martin doubled for Van Buren.

At Brewer, Eric White knocked in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift Brewer past Lawrence of Fairfield.

White finished with two doubles and two singles for the Witches. Chase Daniels had two singles and two RBIs while Prentiss Swett had a single with two RBIs. Shun Sasaki posted an RBI single.

John Flynn had two singles and three RBIs to pace Lawrence. Jim Melcher had a double and two RBIs while Brock Lawrence had an RBI single.

At Searsport, Nate Adams and Tom Cameron combined on a complete game no-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks to lead Searsport by Bangor Christian.

Dustin Brassbridge hit two singles and drove in a run for Searsport. Nate Adams tallied two singles while Evan Kingsbury added an RBI single for the undefeated Vikings.

At Deer Isle, Eben Powers had a double, a single, and two RBIs, pitched four innings of one-hit ball while allowing one walk and getting seven strikeouts to lead the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners past Schenck of East Millinocket.

Ethan Pinkham had two singles and an RBI while Jon Lymburner added an RBI single for the Mariners.

Josh Brown’s single in the sixth broke up the Mariners’ no-hit bid.

Tweedie also knocked in the eventual winning run with a two-out, RBI triple in the sixth and hit a solo home run. Josh Delaittre hit three singles with three RBIs and Bret Mitchell knocked a solo homer and singled.

Josh Boone had two singles and an RBI for Foxcroft Academy and Tony Gabarro doubled.

Mike Farrel smacked a two-run homer for the Lynx.
