DOVER-FOXCROFT – Sophomore Ian Champeon pitched a four-hitter, stroked two singles and scored three runs Thursday to lead Foxcroft Academy to a 9-3 high school baseball victory over Central of Corinth.

Tony Gabarro also singled twice and scored three runs for Foxcroft, while Jamie Nason had a single and two RBIs and Josh Conroy had an RBI single.

Ben Merrill doubled for Central, while Jake Speed and Scott Kelley each singled and scored.

Forest Hills sweeps Greenville

At Greenville, Crystal Allen hit a triple, a double and drove in four runs to spark Forest Hills by Greenville 12-1 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Forest Hills won the second game 13-6.

In the first game, Elise Begin had three singles for Forest Hills while Jasmine Worster doubled and singled with an RBI.

Rachel Soule tallied two singles and an RBI for Greenville.

In the second game, Kaila Ashey hit a three-run home run, a triple and a single. Begin had four singles while Worster had two doubles and two singles. Allen added two doubles and drove in four runs.

Greenville was led by Ruby Rockwell with three singles and a triple. Lauren Fling had a double and a single with an RBI.
