HOULTON – Ryan Hill recorded two singles, a triple and an RBI to help lead the Houlton Shiretowners to a 15-2 schoolboy baseball victory over the Hodgdon Hawks Thursday.

Porter Gervais chipped in with a double and a single with two RBIs for Houlton and Josh Harvey tallied two singles and an RBI.

Ryan Wellington paced Hodgdon with a double and two RBIs.

At Lincoln, Tyson Tash had two singles and two RBIs while Tyler Tash had a double, single, and one RBI to pace the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx past the visiting Wildcats.

Booky Nesin had two singles and an RBI for MA. Brady Vose hit a two-run double.

Dillon Kingsbury had two singles and an RBI for Presque Isle. Brennan Shaw also had two singles.

Anthony Maffei stroked three singles, while Brian Bean, Mike Brennan and Ryan Martin posted two singles apiece for Maranacook of Readfield.

At Houlton, Nikki Eastman, Lainey Herring and Vanessa Sanderson combined on a five-inning no-hitter as Houlton shut out Hodgdon.

Eastman led Houlton with four singles and six RBIs. Herring tallied a triple, two singles and three RBIs while Sanderson had a double and two singles with three RBIs. Chelsi Murray hit a two-run home run for the Shiretowners.

At Lincoln, Tayla Trask tossed a complete game one-hitter with 15 strikeouts to lead Mattanawcook Academy by Presque Isle.

Renee Libbey hit two singles and a double with an RBI for the Lynx. Bree Hanscom had a triple, a single and an RBI while Kristy Burleigh had two singles with an RBI.

Jodie Buckley hit a single for Presque Isle.

At Dyer Brook, Melissa Duffy hit four bunt singles to help pace the Katahdin Cougars of Stacyville past Southern Aroostook.

Kayla Stevens had a double, single, and five RBIs for the Cougars. Lacy Pelletier added a double and a single.

Kim Grant had a triple, double and single to lead the Warriors. Sarah Crandall added a double and a single.

At Oakland, Kristen Lawler drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Messalonskee past Nokomis of Newport.

Lauren Hachey hit two singles and drove in two runs while Juliana Fekete added a pair of singles for the Eagles.

Sam Moore and Olivia Fuller each hit a double and a single while Patrice Cianchette had two singles for Nokomis.

At Pittsfield, Sarah Maxwell (2-0) went the distance, allowing four hits and no walks while notching nine strikeouts, to lead Maranacook of Readfield past Maine Central Institute.

Maxwell also provided all the offense she’d need with a two-out RBI single in the first.

Lydia Fortin hit a double to pace the MCI Huskies.

At Thomaston, sophomore Danielle Frye pitched a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Buccaneers to the season-opening victory.

Frye struck out nine and walked four. Ashley Geel knocked in four runs with three singles for Georges Valley, while Erin Judkins (three RBIs) and Liz Hall (two RBIs) each doubled and singled.
