Karla C. Michaud, principal of Van Buren District Secondary School, has announced the honor parts for the Class of 2008.

Jessica Laplante, daughter of Cathy and George Laplante of Van Buren, has been named valedictorian for the Class of 2008. She will attend Bowdoin College in Brunswick to study biology with a pre-med concentration.

Stephanie Corriveau, daughter of Brenda and Steve Corriveau of Van Buren, has been named salutatorian for the Class of 2008. She will attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle to study biology with a pre-med concentration.

Taylor Parent, daughter of Karla and Lyn Michaud of Van Buren and Tim Parent of Hamlin, has been named honor essayist. She will attend Assumption College in Boston to study medical biology.
