LEE – Branden Crocker and A.J. Harris teamed up on a three-hitter and each drove in a pair of runs as Lee Academy upset previously undefeated Penobscot Valley of Howland 8-0 in high school baseball play Monday.

Crocker allowed three hits over four innings with three strikeouts and five walks, and Harris pitched three hitless innings with a strikeout and a walk.

Harris had a double and a single and Crocker singled twice.

Ethan Babineau doubled for the Howlers.

At Millinocket, Garren Manzo hit a triple and two singles, drove in three runs, scored three runs and stole three bases as Stearns defeated Penquis of Milo.

Justin Pelkey doubled and singled and knocked in four runs for the Minutemen.

Penquis’ Kyle Gero tripled and scored in the first inning.

At Hermon, Andrew Hodge drove in three runs on a two-run single and a sacrifice fly to help lead Ellsworth past Hermon.

Jordan Carter hit a double and a single and knocked in two runs for the Eagles. Patrick Kelly doubled and singled with an RBI.

Derek Helms led Hermon with a double and a single.

At Guilford, Jon Johnson hit three singles and a double to help push Bangor Christian past Piscataquis of Guilford.

Phil Dougherty hit a three-run double for the Patriots and Jared Theriault recorded 11 strikeouts. Tyler Alexander and Theriault each had two singles and a double.

Brandon Emerson had a double and two singles to pace the Pirates. Toby Cleaves doubled and Bryan Russell hit two singles.

At Dexter, Dan Faloon and Josh Brown delivered RBI singles in the top of the eighth to supply Schenck of East Millinocket with its first win.

Jon Sirois added a double for the Wolverines.

Rick Stewart knocked an RBI triple while Ethan Woodman doubled and singled to knock in a run for Dexter. A.J. McGowan had a double and a single.

At Lincoln, Bookie Nesin turned in a solid pitching performance and aided his own cause with a three-run triple as the Lynx notched their third win.

Tyson Tash chipped in with a single and double for the winners and Jake Smith had an RBI double.

Cam Wadleigh singled and doubled for the Bucks and Jordan Trasko notched an RBI double.

At Thomaston, Justin Henry had a double, a single, and two RBIs to help lead Georges Valley past the Carrabec Cobras of North Anson.

Robbie Beverage and Brandon Staples each had two singles for the Buccaneers. Matthew Shields picked up the win in relief.

Bryan James had a double and a single for the Cobras. Alex Myers had two RBIs.

At Thomaston, Danielle Frye and Liz Hall collaborated on a five-inning one-hitter and Brittany Worcester belted a three-run homer as Georges Valley remained unbeaten.

Frye pitched four innings of one-hit ball with 10 strikeouts and four walks and Hall struck out two and walked two in one relief inning.

Aley Watts had two singles and an RBI for Georges Valley.

Kara Hebert singled for Carrabec of North Anson.

At Millinocket, Erica Lyford hit two doubles and a single, drove in five runs and scored four times to lead Penquis of Milo to victory over Stearns.

Lyford allowed one run on three this and one walk while striking out six for the Patriots.

Penquis’ Shelby Weston had two singles and two runs scored and Britnee Genthner added a single and scored four runs.

Katie Mills doubled and singled and scored a run for Stearns.

At Hermon, Ally Wharton hit three singles and a double and scored three runs to lift Hermon over Ellsworth.

Jaimie Beers and Erin Arnold each hit two singles for the Hawks.

Ashley Smith tripled and singled for Ellsworth. Lauren Poor hit a two-run double and Maggie Harding added two singles.

At Guilford, Jillian French came on in relief in the third inning and struck out 10 to help the Patriots beat the Piscataquis Community Pirates.

Christin Pelletier singled twice and had an RBI for the winners and Monica Alexander added an RBI triple. Bekah Smith chipped in with an RBI single.

Jillian Martell, Julia Shaffer, Megan Soden, and Lauren Green each singled for PCHS.

Ashley Deloge hit a fourth-inning single for the Wolverines of East Millinocket.

At Lee, Aarika Ritchie laced a two-run single and Karin Bird an RBI double as Lee Academy ended Penobscot Valley’s four-game winning streak.

Ritchie added another single while Bird scored two runs for the Pandas. Brooke Harris tripled and scored.

Kirstina Hallett hit an RBI single while Molly Thompson tripled and singled for the Howlers of Howland.
